WILDLIFE
Some of the most diverse and recognisable wildlife in the world lives right here in the British countryside. However every year millions of wild animals in the UK suffer as a result of human activity. Organised harm comes from hunting and shooting and the deliberate targeting of mammals and birds by businesses built on exploiting them. Less direct but equally thoughtless harm comes from, for example, habitat loss, bycatch and overfishing, road accidents and ingesting the litter we leave behind us.
At Protect the Wild we want to build a compassionate future, to preserve and celebrate our wonderful wildlife and protect them from harm.
