ADOPT AN ANIMAL
Protect the Wild exists to defend British wildlife from cruelty, persecution and exploitation wherever it occurs. From illegal hunting and the badger cull to the industrial killing of birds for sport, we work tirelessly to expose abuse, challenge those responsible, and push for lasting change.
By adopting an animal with Protect the Wild, you are directly supporting frontline campaigns that protect some of Britain’s most persecuted species. Our fox adoption symbolises our fight to finally end fox hunting for good. Our badger adoption represents our determination to stop the badger cull and protect wildlife from government-sanctioned killing. Our peregrine falcon adoption stands for our work exposing the bird shooting industry and defending birds of prey from persecution as we work to take that industry down.
Your adoption helps fund vital work including investigations, monitoring and eyes in the field, public campaigning, legal challenges, and the care and rehabilitation of injured wildlife. It allows us to react quickly, gather evidence, and hold those harming wildlife to account.
As an adopter, you will not only be helping protect British wildlife, but you will also receive a cuddly animal as a small thank you for standing with us.
We will also keep you updated by email on our latest campaigns and the real-world impact your support is having so you can see exactly how your adoption is helping protect wildlife now and for the future.
To be clear, in adopting an animal with Protect the Wild you are not adopting a live animal but donating to Protect the Wild via a symbolic animal adoption.
How your adoption will help
Your support will help us deliver our vision to protect British wildlife.
WE DO THIS BY:
- Working undercover to expose suffering inflicted on British wildlife
- Pressuring and influencing decision makers to adopt stronger legislation protecting animals
- Educating the public about the realities of wildlife suffering and persecution through hard-hitting animations, reports and surveys
- Producing daily news and opinion pieces and reaching millions in the process
- Providing grants/equipment and free professional mental health support to animal activists across the country
- Holding demonstrations and protests to speak out against injustices to animals
Adoption pack delivery information
In line with other organisations our adoptions are ‘symbolic’. By adopting an animal you will be supporting our work protecting these animals as a whole rather than one individual.
We will process and send your order within five working days and would normally expect it to arrive within seven working days.
Please be patient when waiting on your adoption pack. We are a small team and are working as hard as possible to get them sent out to you. Thank you for your patience.
- Orders do not need to be signed for. A card will be left if you’re unavailable.
- We cannot hold orders for delivery on a specific time.
- Sadly, we are no longer taking orders from outside the UK.
