Who doesn’t love an adorable fox cub?

Sadly, fox hunts don’t.

And while we think our cuddly fox cub toy makes a great gift, we just want to let you know that the information fact sheet we will send you may not be suitable for young children.

That’s because in it we are highlighting ‘cubbing’ – a heinous activity and one of fox hunting’s dirtiest secrets. We’ve chosen to highlight cubbing because we are determined to end it, and many people have no idea it even goes on.

Cubbing usually takes place between August and October, just before the main fox hunting season starts. It’s a disgusting way to train hunting hounds to kill and give them a taste for blood. Because despite what hunts claim, hunting a live mammal does not come naturally to a hound.

By adopting a fox cub with Protect the Wild you will join #TeamCub and help us with our on-going efforts to expose those responsible for this terrible crime, with our campaign efforts to work for a proper ban on hunting, and with our support for rescuers and carers who help rehabilitate sick and injured foxes.

As an adopter, not only will you be helping fund this vital work, but you will also receive an exclusive Protect the Wild adoption pack including cuddly toy, glossy photo, and an information fact sheet. As an adopter we will also keep you up to date by email on our latest campaigns to safeguard and protect wild foxes.

How your adoption

will help

Your support will help us deliver our vision to empower people to protect British wildlife and end hunting for good.

  • Funding equipment and fuel for activists on the frontline sabotaging and monitoring hunts.
  • Pressuring and influencing decision makers to adopt our ‘proper ban’ on hunting through the Hunting of Mammals Bill.
  • Informing the public about the realities of cub hunting through hard-hitting animations, reports and surveys.
  • Producing daily news and opinion pieces to expose the actions of hunts across the UK.
