ADOPT A BIRD TODAY
Most of us love birds. The ones that visit our gardens, the ones that arrive in the summer, the ones we only see up a mountain or over a marsh. All of them.
Yet somehow the shooting industry has managed to convince us that some birds – well, some birds just aren’t like the others.
For decade after decade shooting ‘game’ birds has been sold to us as a ‘sport’. Birds including pheasants, partridges, and grouse have been separated off from other birds. Much of the public now thinks of them as little more than live targets.
But if we say we love birds, isn’t it about time we meant ALL birds and not just some of them?
Protect the Wild believes that time is long overdue.
By adopting a bird with Protect the Wild you will help us put ‘eyes in the field’ to tackle raptor persecution, our campaign efforts to get proper protection for all bird species, and change attitudes about shooting and the shooting industry.
As an adopter you will receive an exclusive Protect the Wild adoption pack including our cuddly owlet, glossy photo, and an information fact sheet.
We will also keep you up to date by email on our latest campaigns and the important impact we’re having on safeguarding Britain’s birdlife.
How your adoption will help
Your support will help us deliver our vision to empower people to protect British wildlife and end hunting for good.
WE DO THIS BY:
- Funding equipment and fuel for activists on the frontline monitoring shoots and reporting raptor persecution.
- Pressuring and influencing decision makers to give proper protection to birds.
- Informing the public about the shooting industry through hard-hitting animations, reports and surveys.
- Producing news and opinion pieces to expose the destructive impact shooting has right across the UK.
We’re proud to say our beautiful adoption owlets are manufactured and filled with 100% recycled polyester made from plastic waste.
